We have all seen those ripped cross-fit folks with their weighted vests and wondered if a mortal could benefit from such torture........yes but read on! The weight is good for walking and will help stimulate your bones to grow and stay dense; however, you do not want to exceed 10% of your body

weight with the vest. Avoid weighted vests if you have neck and back problems.
What about ankle and wrist weights? Yes, they can be fantastic additions to your workout, especially since your feet cannot grip dumbbells! If you have arthritis and your grip is compromised they allow you to do everything you could with dumbbells. Where you do not want to use them is on your wrist and hands while walking, or running. This will create way too much stress on the ligaments and joints!
