A research study showed that people with more fast twitch muscle fibers need more time to recover when pushed hard! Slow twitch muscle fibers can be pushed hard and come back quickly. The lesson for us is that if you need extra time to recover after a hard run or leg session you may have more type 2 muscle fibers. GIVE YOURSELF THE TIME! We are all different and just because your friend can do hard workouts every day does not mean something is wrong with you if you cannot. Here is the research if you are curious!
